Dream World is the ninth solo album from Joseph Akins. It is a culmination of eleven carefully selected piano tracks. Some pieces are passionate and cinematic, while others are meditative and contemplative. The sound of one track, “A Moonlit Dance”, stands alone but is undeniably Joseph Akins with its gentle lilt. Overall, they represent the many different scenarios and stories that occur in our dreams.

During the height of the pandemic, Dream World was recorded at Joseph’s home. The intimacy and delicacy of his playing and his grand piano can be easily heard and felt (and you might hear a kitty cat too). Thanks to Joe Bongiorno of Piano Haven for carving out a polished, mastered sound and to Matt Strieby for creating the beautiful artwork.
